Descripción

Reporting to the Senior Vice President LATAM, the General Manager should:

  • Deliver annual and strategic plan results;
  • Develops and governs the Long Range Plans and Annual Operating Plans, business strategies, portfolio and channel management, policies and programs in Colombia within the broad framework of companies corporate strategy to meet the performance targets with corresponding budgets and timelines;
  • Ensures that effective business unit systems, procedures and financial controls are established and maintained for the business unit's operations inclusive of strict adherence to governance protocols;
  • External representation of the company to customers, government officials, banks, lawyers, auditors, tax authorities;
  • Balance short term decisions with strategy, values and reputation;
  • Provide leadership to the Steering Team and engage in daily hands-on operation of the company;
  • Develop metrics for strategic and annual initiatives and report on operational issues and achievements within agreed formats and timetables to senior management;
  • Provide regular feedback to senior and global functional management on the performance of the operation through the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process;
  • Ensure financial reporting and controls are in place in line with enterprise governance;
  • Achieve financial targets - Sales, RONA, OI, GM and cash flow;
  • Directs the development and maintenance of long and short-term forecasts regarding volume, market share, financial requirements, human resource needs, organizational plans, etc., and monitors the projected effects of these forecasts on investment, revenues and profitability;
  • Develop annual operating budget (AOP) inclusive of capital plans and on-going monitoring of key capital projects;
  • Leads the development of key accounts;
  • Directs the day-to-day management of efficient, flexible and competitive manufacturing facilities within Colombia with functional responsibility supported by WHQ functional management;
  • Champions the development of products and services that will improve and strengthen our value proposition consistent with Colombia's business strategy;
  • Align Business and Organizational Strategies
  • Develops long and short-term organization and manpower plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of Colombia's objectives;
  • Identifies key associates and facilitates their training and development opportunities to maximize human capital and talent retention to support growth;
  • Develop, manage and direct the Steering team as well as preserve and develop the unique company culture based on the their values and the commitment to a highly engaged workforce.

Perfil buscado (h/m)

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor degree + minimum MBA;
  • Self-starter and a team player, a "hands on" leader;
  • Strong Leadership experience with 10+ years in a senior management role, preferably in the manufacturing sector;
  • Experience in organizational development, team development, budget and resource management and supply chain management;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Strategy formulation and execution;
  • Sense of urgency;
  • Passion for execution;
  • Decisive and acts quickly
